The University of Cincinnati is well known for being the first college to implement a co-op program, the program is well established and there are a lot of parts meant to help students be successful. COOP 2000 is all about preparing students for working while in college. Whether that be an internship, an on campus job, or a co-op experience this class is meant for students either during or before their work experience. Before I got to college I knew that I wanted to find a job that fit my interests, so that I could get work experience as an adult and hopefully somewhat within my field. I took this course before taking on a co-op to prepare for the working world.
Throughout the course, I learned a lot about interviewing, resumes, and work etiquette. The most useful takeaway for me was definitely the interview prep. Before this class, the interview process was the most anxiety-provoking part about finding a job. The resources to prepare for any kind of interview that were provided through this course have made me much more confident in my ability, and have eased a lot of my anxiety surrounding interviews.
A large part of this class was setting goals, I have attached a copy of my goals from the beginning of the class.
